Kayla Lui (之) is a Hongkongese comic artist and art director based in London.
After graduating from BA Illustration at Camberwell College of Arts, she participated in FEVER Comics Masterclass in Hong Kong Arts Centre, which rooted her work in comics and small press publishing. She self-published her first comic book Dailongfeng Restaurant in 2021, then co-published Heavy flavours magazine (2023). Her most recent comic Mud Party (2024) is published by Klub Zin. In her works she explores a tone of playful absurdity, and at times reflect themes of diaspora and subcultural identities.
